Talent abounds in this year’s celebration of the best and brightest Okanagan College Alumni.

Tickets to the annual Okanagan College Alumni Association (OCAA) celebration are now available for a cocktail party destined to sparkle thanks to the wit, warmth and charm of this year’s two recipients - Distinguished Alumni Award winner Lee Claremont and Young Alumni Award winner Ryan Donn.

Claremont graduated from Okanagan College’s Fine Arts diploma program in 1989 and since then her vibrant Aboriginal artwork has graced walls in both private and public collections around the world. A documentary about her work recently aired on the Bravo! network.

Donn, who many know for his musical talents, is a graduate of the College's Human Service Work diploma program (2003). He now works as a Certified Education Assistant with School District 23 using his gifts with students who have disabilities.

The Okanagan College Alumni Association, along with supporters of Claremont and Donn, will honour the duo on Thursday, Oct. 14 at the Centre for Learning Atrium at Okanagan College.

Doors open at 6 p.m. with cocktails and hor d’oeuvres, followed by the awards presentation. Tickets are $55 (including HST), with a complimentary glass of wine, and are available until Oct. 7.
